Confessing the Faith is a conference hosted by Free Grace Baptist Church, 45592 Wellington Avenue, Chilliwack, BC V2P 2E6 ("we", "us"). This policy covers this website, conference registration, donations made with your registration, and the emails and text messages we send.

What we collect

• When you register: your name, email, mobile number, church, city and province, and for each person you register: their name, how they're attending, dinner choice and dietary needs, and (if you give them) their own email and mobile number.
• When you donate: your mailing address, so Free Grace Baptist Church can send you a tax receipt.
• When you pay: payments are handled by Stripe. We see what was paid and when, but never your full card number.
• When you use our contact or accommodation forms: what you write to us and your contact details.
• When you visit the website: basic, anonymous visit statistics (Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics), and your light/dark display choice, which stays in your own browser.

How we use it

• To run the conference: your registration, name badges, dinner numbers, check-in and livestream access.
• To send you confirmations, reminders and updates about the conference by email and, if you agreed, by text message.
• After the conference, to send you a short feedback survey and links to the recordings.
• To let you know about future Confessing the Faith conferences. You can unsubscribe anytime.
• To issue tax receipts for donations, and to keep the financial records the law requires.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We do not share your mobile number or any personal information with third parties for their marketing. We only use service providers who help us run the conference and must keep your information confidential:

• Stripe (payments)
• Google Workspace (email)
• TextMagic (text messages)
• Cloudflare (website hosting and security)

Your information is stored on our own server, hosted in San Francisco, United States, and in these providers' systems, which may also be outside Canada.

Text messages

If you agree to text messages when you register, Confessing the Faith (Free Grace Baptist Church) will text you reminders and updates about the conference. Message frequency varies (usually a few messages around the conference, plus the survey and recordings afterwards). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. You can also contact us at [email protected]. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Unsubscribing

Every email we send has a way to unsubscribe, and you can reply STOP to any text. Or just tell us at [email protected]. We'll still send messages you need about a registration you've made (for example, a cancellation or refund confirmation).

How long we keep it

We keep registration records so we can welcome you back to future conferences and keep the conference's history. Donation and payment records are kept as long as Canadian tax law requires.
